Former Super Eagles coach, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, has predicted that Nigeria has the players to win the Russia 2018 World Cup.

The Modakeke high Chief who gave the lead lecture at the national seminar on Russia 2018 World cup organized by The Sun newspaper in Port Harcourt said that the Eagles can soar higher than ever before if the players and technical crew see themselves as one family which he called a gang.

According to him, the Eagles had always missed the opportunity because of internal crises in the team.

“In 1998 some of the players were not talking to themselves,” Onigbinde revealed. “But if the coach can tutor the players to play as a gang, then winning the trophy is a possibility.

“I am expecting the cup in Nigeria but the team must be physically, mentally and technically fit. I dont see how Argentina, Brazil or Germany can beat the Super Eagles.”

Onigbinde added that having done well in the qualifiers, the Eagles have stayed together for over two years and that affords them the opportunity to understand themselves.

“As a FIFA instructor I have done a lot of technical analysis on several cojntries and I am convinced that Nigeria will not be disgraced in Russia,” he declared
