The Secretary to the Government of Niger State Hon Ibrahim Isa Ladan has reiterated the commitment of the state government for continued partnership with security agencies for a more peaceful, secured and prosperous Niger state.
The SSG stated this when members of the Forum of Spokespersons of Critical Institutions in Niger State, FOSCIN paid him a courtesy visit in Minna.
He said one of the top priority of Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello administration is security.
The SSG who commended members of the Forum for timely dissemination of credible, factual security information in the state, applauded them of speaking in one voice during the prison attack, NNPC fire at Pogo and the recent washed-off bridge on Minna-Bida road.
He also commended the Forum for their support to their various formations in sustaining security information management in the state adding that Niger State remains one of the most peaceful state in Nigeria. The SSG promised the forum of the state government’s support in ensuring the public gets non conflicting, credible information on all issues to avoid misinformation. He called on the Forum to reach out to traditional institutions, other stakeholders for the maintenance of peace in the state. The SSG who stated that the state government was committed to providing level playing ground in the forth coming general elections warned against thuggery and other forms violence.
Earlier in his remarks the Chairman of the Forum and Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace thanked the state government for the support given to the forum from its inception till date.He thanked all the spokesperson of critical institutions in the state for their support and encouragement in making sure that the forum was able to succeed in discharging the core mandate which is” positive synergy in sharing and managing security information as a tool for achieving sustainable peace”.
The Forum of Spokespersons of Critical Institutions in Niger state, FOSCIN, was established in December 2017 to harmonise and create the desired synergy in security information management in Niger state among critical institutions.
