Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, on Tuesday, announced the appointment of Mr. Adeniyi Adesina, Deputy Editor (News) of The Nation Newspapers, as his Chief Press Secretary, CPS.
The appointment was announced via a statement issued by Osun State Head of Service, Dr. Oyebade Olowogboyega.
Adesina, who has since resumed duty in Osogbo, the capital, brings over 30 years of experience in top level journalism practice into his new job. He holds a holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos and has attended several professional media courses abroad, including the United Kingdom and Denmark
After making his name as a versatile sports journalist at the defunct Concord Press of Nigeria, travelling round the world to cover major sporting events, Adesina also worked at the Punch newspapers before berthing at The Nation.
Many industry players believe Governor Oyetola could not have made a better choice as Adesina is highly cerebral, painstaking, and thorough bred professional who takes the minutest detail serious.
He is happily married and blessed with God-fearing children.
