EFCC scores big as Patience Jonathan forfeits N1.04bn to FG

The Federal High Court sitting in Kano, on Thursday, ordered an interim forfeiture of the sum of N1.04billion allegedly hidden in the bank account of a company reportedly linked to former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan.

This was sequel to a suit filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The commission announced this in a press statement it issued on Thursday, disclosing that Justice Lewis Allagoa made the forfeiture order against Magel Resort Limited.

The EFCC stated further in the release that it got the order following an intelligence report that revealed a bank account in which a huge sum of money was warehoused, and the cash was idle as nobody was using it.
