The presidential candidate of the Accord Party, Isaac Babatunde Ositelu, on Sunday, took the federal government to task over the helicopter crash involving Vice President Yemi  Osinbajo at Kabba, Kogi State, on Saturday.

Specifically, the Accord Party presidential standard bearer told the federal government to tell Nigerians why the VP should fly in a hired chopper when there are good and serviceable helicopters in the presidential fleet.

Ositelu canvassed this position in a press statement he issued on Sunday, insisting that the crash must be scrupulously investigated, and that findings must not be swept under the carpet.

“It is imperative for the government to give this explanation because of the subdued rumour that a certain cabal might have made it difficult for the Vice President to have unmitigated access to the use of the aircraft in the presidential fleet,” Ositelu in the statement, adding that he was worried about the chaotic scene at the crash site moments after the accident.
