Like in virtually everywhere President Muhammadu Buhari has campaigned since he flagged of his quest for re-election, early January, Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, on Thursday, stood still as the president’s train hit the city.
Tumultuous crowd stretched the arena so thin that the president’s convoy had a hectic time entering the place. Exhilarated by Buhari’s arrival, the crowd screamed themselves hoarse with the shout of ‘Baba! Oyoyo!’
Flabbergasted by the sheer size of the crowd which spilled to adjoining streets, as well as the swirling sea of heads that shared endlessly, many gyrating joyously like some spirit-propelled worshipers, one emir exclaimed: “It’s like people are dropping from the sky!”
In another incredible scene, an excited lady almost shouted endlessly as she struggled to catch a glimpse of the president.
Femi Adesina, Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, posted the breath-taking pictures on his Facebook page.
