CHIMAOBI UCHENDU
Prior to the 2019 election, most pastors, bishops and prophets made prophetic pronouncements and declarations concerning Nigeria. They claimed they expressly heard from God what the outcome of the election would be. But alas, they almost all goofed.
In 1993, renowned prophet and Founder, Evangelical Church of Yahweh Worldwide, Primate Theophilus Olabayo, in an interview with the defunct Weekend Concord predicted that George Bush would win the American presidential election against Bill Clinton. Few minutes after the result was declared he put a phone-call to the Weekend Concord saying: “Before man and God I saw Clinton, not Bush.” Though everybody laughed at the sudden U-turn; the editors had a field days, a great story for the weekend with a banner headline; Before Man and God I saw Clinton, Not Bush –Primate Olabayo. And no copy was returned unsold.
Since then, the cleric has not stopped from seeing from his crystal ball nor hear from God. In his declaration prior to the 2019 presidential election, Primate Olabayo said that God had told him how the 2019 election would end. He said the election would be declared absolutely inconclusive. He called on Nigerians to gird their loins and embark on spiritual exercises to avert imminent danger ahead of the 2019 general elections.
How farther from the truth could this be! The election was not inconclusive but rather, a winner in President Buhari emerged.
In the same veil, the famous General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman, said that incumbent President Buhari would have a clean sweep of the South East votes insisting that most eastern states would vote for Buhari in the presidential election.
Hear him: “I saw most Eastern states won by APC at the National level.”
This did not happen. However, the President merely managed to poll the mandatory 25 per cent in few of the states in the East. Suffice to conclude that the reverse was the case as the president failed in all the Eastern States.
Speaking the mind of his oracle from South Africa, another pastor, Samuel Akinbodunse, said that God told him that President Muhammadu Buhari would not see 2019 elections. He told his congregation point blank that the President would die.
In a viral video on Twitter, the pastor said Buhari “will die before the votes.”
He said that those who knew the President or had access to the Presidency should warn Buhari not to seek second term or campaign for the election.
He said Buhari was crossing his boundaries because “his tenure is once, not twice.”
“Warn Buhari that he is going beyond his boundary. That the Lord said his tenure is once. Not twice. If not, he’ll not see the election,” he prophesied. “Tell him, if you know him or you know how to e–mail the Presidency of Nigeria. Please write him a test. If he makes a mistake to campaign for the election, before the vote he’ll die. And I’m saying the truth.”
The South African-based pastor also declared that a young person whose name starts with S would win the election instead. Not Buhari or Atiku. But few hours after Buhari’s victory, the prophet who had made a strong prophecy on Buhari’s death quickly beat a retreat, defending himself and excusing the clear fact that his prophecy had failed to come to pass.
On the other hand, the prophecies of founder and General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Prophet TB Joshua, Father Ejike Mbaka, Prophet Omatsola and Bro. Joshua Iginla on the outcome of 2019 presidential election in Nigeria came to pass following Buhari’s victory.
TB Joshua had during one of his church services in Lagos prophesied victory for the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Prophet had said, “The election will be closely contested between the two leading political parties but I see Muhammadu Buhari winning.”
Also speaking, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the spiritual director, Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria, who had earlier warned of an impending doom for the APC regime suddenly went back to his altar and came back with an endorsement for President Buhari to win his second term bid.
Also, the prophet with Global Gospel Mandate, Bro. Joshua Iginla dolling out his 2019 prophecies said that result of the presidential election will not be accepted by the opposition .
The Prophet, however, urged the opposition to accept the result and seek redress in court.
According to him, “It is obvious; the results will not be accepted. But let’s pray that the outcome should not put this country in a snare.
“The 2019 elections should not be made a “do or die” affair.
Also, the Senior Pastor and General Overseer of Zionwealth of Life Assembly, ZOLA, Apostle Chris Omatsola had prophesied that nothing will come out of Atiku’s partnership with Peter Obi, his running mate because it’s not of the “Lord”.
He also predicted that APC will have great victory in 2019 election as Buhari will win his re-election bid.
Omatsola said: “President Muhammadu Buhari is God’s mandate for 2019. God said he is giving President Buhari another opportunity to make History. Here is his opportunity to leave a legacy as he has always desired in his heart that Nigerian will never forget him.
“APC should be careful of a major breakout after 2019 elections. I see the hand of divisions amidst victory. Please take note. I see surprise victory for APC. APC winning more states and spreading more in 2019. Adams Oshiomole leadership in APC will benefit the party spiritually and otherwise.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission last during the week formally declared presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of Nigeria’s 2019 presidential election. In the final verdict by the electoral arbiter, Buhari had 15,191,847 votes to beat Atiku who polled 11,262,978. .
