Less than 24 hours after a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Temitope Olatoye, otherwise known as Sugar, was shot dead in Ibadan, a young man said to a supporter of the People’s Democratic Party, has been reported dead.
The victim, identified simply as Mudasiru, was reportedly shot dead on Saturday when he was hit by a bullet from the rifle of a police officer in Ile Tutun, Ibadan South East Local Government Area.
A report by PREMIUM TIMES stated that the deceased, said to be in his early 20s, was loudly celebrating his party’s victory when he was hit by the bullet.
The bullet reportedly ruptured his abdominal area and damaged his intestines.
The victim was said to have been rushed to one Kehinde Ege’s house in Ita Ege, for the extraction of the bullets but died while that was being done. He was said to have lost too much blood.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, In the state, Lawrence Fadeyi, confirmed the incident, but asked for more time for a comprehensive investigation before further details could be made available.
