The All Progressives Congress’ lawyer, Mr Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), on Wednesday at the Presidential Electoral Tribunal sitting in Abuja advised the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa to “leave the matter.”
The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and its Presidential flagbearer in the February 23, election raised the dust against Justice Bulkachuwa on the grounds that her husband, a senator-elect and son are card-carrying of the APC.
Fagbemi said that although the application by the PDP and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, was unmeritorious, the Appeal Court President should not hesitate to disqualify herself from further participation in the five-man tribunal for the sake of her name.
