Like the red-neck lizard that jumped from a very high Iroko tree and thumbs his chest in adulation,President Muhammadu Buhari last night said unequivocally that he was cock sure to beat Abubakar Atiku in the February 23 Presidential Election.
President made this statement when he addressed Nigerians in a nationwide interview aired on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) on Monday, May 27.
Asked why he expressed so much confidence before the 2019 general elections, Buhari said: “I was confident of winning the election because Nigerians understand me.”.
Asked if he will re-invigorate his 1983 ruthless disposition to anti-development, the President simply retorted: “Those who call me ‘Baba go slow’ will see whether I am slow or fast.”
He added: “It means I will persuade the police and the judiciary to be hard and where I uncover that they are not hard, I will find out who is responsible for the slowness in terms of command from the DPO upwards.
“The IG cannot do it alone; he needs to depend on commissioners who in turn depend on DPOs,”
