Hordes of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ex-governors in the South West graced the swearing in of the new governor of Oyo State and his deputy, Wednesday;
At the swearing-in ceremony were former Governors of Ekiti, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, Osun, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and Oyo Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala.
The Governor-elect in Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde and his Deputy, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan have been sworn in as Governor and Deputy Governor respectively.
The duo took their oath of office in Ibadan, the state capital during the swearing in ceremony held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke-Ado.
The oath of office was administered by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Munta Abimbola.
Makinde who was flanked by his wife, Omini and children took the oath of office at exactly 12.17 pm.
Olaniyan on the other hand took the oath at exactly 11.57 am.
Others are Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Senator Biodun Olujimi and Senator Hosea Agboola.
The list also include Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, Chief Jumoke Akinjide, Chief Micheal Koleoso among others.
