There Is No Relationship Between 5G, Coronavirus – UK Government

The British Government on Wednesday has called a popular TV presenter’s claims that there could a link between coronavirus and 5G technology as “complete nonsense.”

The 5G conspiracy theory has sparked massive engagements on social media worldwide and there were reports with visuals of telecom masts been set ablaze in certain areas in the United Kingdom.

However, experts have come out to debunk the relationship, saying 5G is based on radio frequency and has no link whatsoever with the viral outbreak that has over two million confirmed cases worldwide.

ITV’s This Morning show host Eamonn Holmes, had a contrary opinion. On his show, he said they were dismissing his theory “when they don’t know it’s not true.”

“What I don’t accept is mainstream media immediately slapping that down as not true when they don’t know it’s not true,” he said.

“It’s very easy to say it is not true because it suits the state narrative.”

Experts have rubbished the reports, while a government official told journalists that Holmes’ claims were nonsense and “entirely bogus”.

“It’s fair to say Eamonn Holmes is to the advancement of science what I am to banal and unsatisfying morning television,” said Michael Head from the University of Southampton.

“There are no links between 5G technology and transmission of the novel coronavirus.”
