Security operatives have surrounded the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, in anticipation of the #RevolutionNow protest march scheduled for today.
OP MESA vans are parked around the stadium, with some of the operatives standing around fully armed.
A coalition of Civil Society groups led by the presidential candidate of the AAC in the February election, Omoyele Sowore, had called for a ‘revolution’ protest across the country today to drive home their dissatisfaction with the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government.
However, Sowore was arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, on Saturday and whisked to Abuja the following day.
