A 10-year-old orphan, identified as Masengeen, has been delivered of a baby girl after doctors at the Foundation Memorial Hospital in Makurdi, Benue State, successfully performed a Cesarean operation on her.

Cesarean delivery (or C-section) is a surgical procedure used to deliver a baby through incisions in the abdomen and uterus of the mother.

Masengeen, a Tiv from Benue State, is an orphan and part of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Camp located in Makurdi. She is reported to be a victim of constant abuse and repeated rape by a yet-to-be-identified man.

It was disclosed that the 10-year-old mother was, yesterday, August 4, 2019,  dumped at the General Hospital by a yet-to-be-identified person along Northbank area of the capital before a good Samaritan, simply identified as Mr. Ukan, took her to the Foundation Memorial Hospital, and solicited the hospital’s assistance.

The hospital reportedly accepted Ukan’s passionate plea and conducted the C-section that saved the little girl and her tot. The operation was performed by  two doctors whose names were given simply as Dr. Ijoko and Dr. Yima. They delivered Masengen of a baby girl.
