Makinde Approves N500k Bursary for Oyo Students in Law School

Seyi Makinde, Oyo governor, has approved the sum of N500,000 as a bursary for every indigene of the state at the Nigerian Law School.

Makinde announced his decision saying his administration will give priority to education.

The governor said he made the commitment when representatives of Oyo State indigenes at the Nigerian Law School paid him a visit.

Makinde said that his decision was aimed at encouraging the students and assisting them to achieve greatness in their academic pursuit.

He urged the students to return home and contribute their quota towards the development of the state after their studies and not be lured by other cities.

“Representatives of Oyo State indigenes at the Nigerian Law School visited me today. I approved the sum of N500,000 to be paid as bursary to each Oyo State indigene at the Law School,” Makinde wrote.
