APC, PDP at War in Osun Over New Cabinet

The All Progressives Congress, APC,  in Osun state has called the bluff of the People’s Democratic Party,  PDP urging the opposition group  to shut its mouth once and for all, if it has no sensible thing to offer as contribution to Osun’s progress.

In a response by the Party’s Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy, signed by its Director, Kunle Oyatomi, to what the APC described as the ‘gutter language’ used by the PDP to criticise the new cabinet, the APC said:

‘If the PDP cannot grow beyond the use of unmeasured language, APC will ignore any further such uncivilized statement from that party.

‘But for the records, we have no apologies that Governor Oyetola has appointed a commissioner for the Governor’s office.

‘There is real reason and need for that appointment and the Governor has no direct explanation to màke to the PDP for his action.

‘We have told the PDP before and we are telling them  again that they should proceed to court to secure ‘justice’ with the facts on behalf of themselves and the ‘people’ they pretend to love, if they are convinced that they are not mischievous.

‘Between the PDP and APC , both parties had been in government for the last 16 years, and the first seven years of that period under PDP watch, Osun experienced unmitigated disaster: socially, economically, educationally and environmentally.

‘It took an unprecedented re-engineering of the state by the APC in the last nine years to bring Osun to where it is today.

‘Throughout this period, instead of the PDP to acknowledge the progress that has been made, it is tearing itself apart, angry over what it cannot change or what it cannot achieve.

‘Now it is under a week since the cabinet was announced and crooked-minded PDP is already anticipating wrong-doing.

‘For nine years now, the PDP have an abominable record of lying on anything and everything the APC did and is doing. As far as we are concerned, it has become a psychological problem for them which will grow worse as Oyetola’s government continues to succeed.
