Oshiomhole’s Suspension: We’ll Abide By Court Order, Says APC

Moments after truckloads of armed policemen stormed the national headquarters of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, on Wednesday, to forestall breakdown of law and order (according to the Police High Command), the party announced that it would respect the court decision that suspended Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as the national chairman.

Mr. Victor Giadom, the party’s Acting National Secretary, announced, on Wednesday, said the party would abide by the court order.

Giadom disclosed this to journalist in Abuja, saying: “As a party we are aware of the injunction. As a law-abiding party, we will respect all lawful court orders.

“Very soon, the National Working Committee will meet and you will hear further from the party. I am trying to say that the All Progressives Congress will respect all lawful court orders. We will soon do that.”

When asked to categorically confirm whether Oshiomhole was  on suspension, the APC acting scribe said: “Like I do say, there’s a court injunction and it is binding on us as a party to respect all court injunction.”

Meanwhile, the positions of the Deputy National Chairmen (both South and North) became vacant, and have remained so sequel to the appointment of Chief Niyi Adebayo, a former Governor of Ekiti State, as the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, as well as the suspension of Mr. Lawal Shuaibu respectively.
