Good morning! I trust you are holding up! I have no doubt that this will blow over very soon. As it sneaked up on us and caught many in disbelief, so will we wake up one morning to discover that it is again gone. However, we will be failing if, in all this, we do not take away any life lessons.
For instance, we must acknowledge now that social relationships are not going to be the same for some time after this Coronavirus pandemic; some people are going to be more aware of their personal hygiene than before and even businesses are going to react in the same way. With over one million people directly affected worldwide, as at this morning, and the ripple effects of that calculated in billions, the economic impact on poor daily paid labourers, street shop owners, small and medium sized businesses, major conglomerates and countries is story about which books will be written in days to come.
Instead of chafing at the reins of necessary restrictions that hold us down now and getting all angry and frustrated, a more positive reaction to the times will be to use this period to prepare for the changes ahead, ask questions about the possibility of moving your business online so you can free up more time for yourself to do other things, get a better life out of the traffic, develop innovative ideas, start projects you have procrastinated, refresh, listen to other people, hear new sounds, let them give you new meanings, ask yourself how you can take even more practical advantage of this lockdown to grow your brand, penetrate new markets through new associations…above all, allow yourself to see others in a new light and how desperately they need your help.
Allow yourself the luxury of helping folks, emotionally, financially, materially…you just never know how much a little note like this, a phone call may go…be happy, stay safe, for your own sake and those you love, obey the rules. It shall be well, you will see.
