The death toll of the United States of America from ravaging COVIDS-19 pandemic has exceeded 50,000 on Friday, according to a tally by John Hopkins University, which gives regular updates on coronavirus.
According to the tracker, 894,475 people have been confirmed cases of the virus since the health crisis became global. There have been 50,939 deaths recorded, the highest of any country in the world. A total of 90,201 have recovered while 753,335 are considered as active cases.
About 2,783,746 cases have been confirmed, globally, with 771,014 already recovered and 194,470 deaths recorded globally.
