Kogi State Orders Civil Servants To Resume to Work

Kogi State has ordered its civil servants from grade levels 1 to 10 to resume to their places of work from Monday, June 15.

The order was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the state’s Head of Service, Mrs Deborah Ogunmola.

In the statement, Ogunmola said the governor, Yahaya Bello issued the directive, that those who had been working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to return to their physical places of work.

Ogunmola urged the returning workers to follow the guidelines laid down by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, such as maintaining social distancing, use of facemasks, washing of hands.

“All MDAs are to ensure they provide facilities for hand washing and sanitisers at the entrance of their offices. All officers are to ensure they maintain a healthy lifestyle and adhere to all the guidelines of NCDC to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic,” the statement read in part.
