A former commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development in Ondo State, Solagbade Amodeni, who was sacked by the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.
His defection comes ahead of the October 10 governorship election in the state.
Amodeni and Agboola Ajayi, deputy governor of the state are expected to meet up on Monday for a formal welcome into PDP.
Alongside the former commissioner are a host of key members of the All Progressives Congress in the state who are defecting to the opposition party.
Amodeni was sacked in July 2019 alongside two other commissioners by Governor Akeredolu.
