The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Tuesday, announced that the country has recorded 561 fresh cases of coronavirus.
This revelation was made by the centre via a tweet on its verified Twitter handle.
The tweet revealed that a total of 9,746 patients have recovered and have been discharged after they tested negative twice for the virus.
The number of fatalities recorded soared to 590 in the past 24 hours from 573.
