‘Hushpuppi Boys’ Nabbed After Hacking Into Senator’s Facebook Account

Taraba State Police Command, on Wednesday paraded two suspects who are notorious for hacking Facebook accounts.

The suspects met their water-loo after they had successfully hacked into the Facebook accounts of some lawmakers, as well as the account of the Taraba Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Azare.

According to the police public relations officer David Misal, the fraudsters solicited for money and recharged cards from unsuspecting friends on the app.

After thorough investigation that forced the police team to Yola, the capital of Adamawa, one Sanusi Usman, 28, was arrested and after hours of interrogation, confessed to have carried out the nefarious act.

Another suspect. Abu Safayan. 24, was also apprehended, after hacking into a member of the House of Representatives, and Senator Ahmed Alkai, who represents Gombe North Senatorial District.

The suspect requested for money from individuals as a balance to help them get employment at INEC office in Abuja.

The police spokesperson reiterated that the force would do anything to ensure that criminals are brought to book, while warning them to desist from criminal activities, as the command is ready to combat criminals, in a bid to reduce the rate of crimes.
