Seven policemen have been reported killed in a motor accident involving police special forces along the Kaduna-Zaria highway on Sunday evening.
According to eyewitnesses, the crash occurred around 4:30 pm close to Jaji Military Cantonment when an on-rushing 18-seater bus with uniformed and rifled policemen somersaulted.
In an eyewitness account, he said: “It was a terrible accident because I counted about seven bodies of policemen in the middle of the road. Two were seriously injured while others survived.”
Public Relations Officer, PPRO of Kaduna Police Command, ASP Muhammed Jalige told journalists the Command has sent a team of policemen to the scene to find out what actually happened.
