Former Bayern Munich boss, Niko Kovac has been named the new Monaco boss.
Robert Moreno was sacked after only seven months in charge of the Ligue 1 club on Sunday.
Kovac, 48, won the German league and cup double with Bayern in the 2018-19 season but left in November 2019.
Kovac was also Croatia’s manager between 2013 and 2015.
“Niko is recognised for his capacity to obtain very good results and the progression of young talents,” said Monaco vice-president Oleg Petrov on Sunday.
Moreno took over last December when Monaco were seventh in the table – they eventually finished ninth when the season was halted early because of the coronavirus pandemic.
