Meghan Markle’s Royal Biography Stripped of HRH Title

Meghan Markle’s royal biography has stripped her of her HRH title and has been edited to downplay her work after her Megxit departure to Los Angeles.

The page’s bio, which details senior members of the royal family’s background and duties, now refers to Meghan, 38, as ‘she’ or the ‘Duchess’, instead of ‘Her Royal Highness’.

Details of the Duchess of Sussex’s education, career and royal engagements have been moved from her ‘about’ page to a biography section.

The previously described details of Meghan’s philanthropic activities have also been moved to the ‘Charitable Work’ part of the royal’s page.

The second line of the ‘About The Duchess of Sussex’ section now references her move to America with Prince Harry, 35, stating: ‘As announced in January, The Duke and Duchess have stepped back as senior members of The Royal Family’.

The rest of the royal family, including the Duke of Sussex, still have a biography in place.

Reference to The Duchess moving to Toronto, Canada, during her filming for Suits has also been removed, including a line saying she felt ‘very connected’ to the country, which became like a ‘second home’ to her.

Meghan’s writing and editing of a lifestyle website called The Tig has been kept in under the career section, but referral to her ‘using the platform to discuss social issues’ has been taken out.
