Chairman of the Ikale Heritage Development Association, Otunba Sola Olatunji has appealed to Nigerian youth to sheathe their swords and embrace dialogue.
Describing the Lekki Tollgate massacre of Tuesday night by the army as barbaric, Olatunji says our gallant youths have proved a point adding that no government will henceforth play with the agitations of the youths.
“On behalf of Ikale Heritage Development Association, I want to join millions of Nigerians to appeal to our youth that they should embrace negotiation at this juncture,” Olatunji said. “We sympathize with our teeming youths over the unwarranted loss of lives during the #Endsars peaceful protests across the country especially in Lagos.
“As parents, we have been devastated over the barbaric killings of our children. We all struggled to have this democracy and it’s highly regrettable that our military that could not defeat Boko Haram in the North East for 12 years could use our children to show their strength.
“Those who triumph in using innocent blood in whatever capacity for experiments will receive the wrath of God and if he escapes, their children will be visited with dare consequences.”
Otunba Olatunji appeals saying: “We are appealing to our children to please vacate the roads and allow government to attend to your demands swiftly. Please, go home.”
The business mogul also decries the mayhem in Okitipupa Thursday morning stressing that destroying properties in the town will bring devastating consequences to the economy of Ondo State. He appeals to the irate protesters to stop the carnage and give the government the benefit of the doubt to attend to the grievances.
