The kind of love marriage requires from you is patient and kind, with zero tolerance for envy, boasting, and pride. It gives you no permission to be rude, look out only for yourself, become easily angered, or keep record of wrongs.
Why did I get married? This is a question every married couple must review from time to time if they are to stay married. When I have a consulting session with candidates for Matchmaking, I always ask the respondents “Why do you want to get married,” and the answers are usually about what they want someone else to do for them, but rarely what they believe they are capable of doing for others. It’s rarely about looking for someone to love! It’s usually about looking for someone to love me, someone to be there for me, someone that will keep me company, someone I can share my life with, someone that I, I, I, and I. It seems people get into relationships and get married these days for selfish, self-centered, self-catering, and self-serving purposes. Before you point fingers at anyone, please check yourself too.
Can we stop going into relationships or marriage if we are not in a position to love, and I mean love unconditionally? Unconditional love is the only kind of love that works in marriage. If it’s not the basis for your marriage, don’t expect anything to work for long. The difference between marriage and other social arrangements between people is the kind of love expected to be shared in marriage, IT’S NOT YOUR EVERYDAY KIND OF LOVE THAT  ALLOWS PEOPLE TOGETHER FOR A BIT, but one that is till death do us part with all the “for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health,” coming in between.
The kind of love marriage requires from you is patient and kind, with zero tolerance for envy, boasting, and pride. It gives you no permission to be rude, look out only for yourself, become easily angered, or keep record of wrongs. It doesn’t permit you to delight in evil but helps you to rejoice with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres, and THIS LOVE NEVER FAILS, because it’s the Love that comes from God, and continually flows through you to your Spouse.
Has your Wife cheated on you?
Divorce is not what you need now, but comfort from God,
and He is still waiting for you to come to Him.
This terrible moment in your marriage will come to an end, and God will give you a Chance to renew your wedding vows, start all over again, and this time intentionally with God who makes the impossible, possible.
Peace, Perfect Peace.
