The Ikale Heritage Development Association has once again embarked on a strategic consolidation with the Office of Civic Engagement and Ministry of Women Affairs, Lagos State, on how to fortify women with vibrant projects and articulate the interests of Ikale women and youths in the state.
In separate letters to the Special Assistant to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Civic Engagement, the commissioner of Women Affairs and Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, the Chairman of the Heritage group, Otunba Sola Olatunji expressed the desire to partner with government to enhance the welfare of all the Ikale women and youths in Lagos State, adding that a data base has been established to register all Ikale people in the state for easy mobilization.
This drive was followed with the Heritage’s courtesy visit to the Special Adviser to the Lagos State governor, Princess Aderemi Adebowale in her office in Alausa recently where both parties agreed to work together to empower women and youths in the state.
Chairman of the Heritage, Otunba Sola Olatunji, who promised regular interactions with the relevant government institutions, commended Princess Adebowale on her proactive initiatives to bring the dividends of democracy to the people and her unwavering supports for registered socio-cultural groups in the state.
In her reaction, Princess Adebowale gave kudos to the Heritage and expressed readiness to liaise with the team to reach out to women and youths in the state especially after the EndSARs experience ‘where we have to engage the youths at all times.”
She reiterated the desire of the Office of the Civic Engagement to empower and engage both women and youths as an important cardinal focus of Governor Sanwo-Olu desire to give Lagosians a state of their dreams.
During the visit, the IHDA Chairman presented a gift to the host on behalf of the association assuring her of the association’s unalloyed support..
