NCF Explodes as Na’abba Quits

Even while its flight is yet to reach cruising level, a major implosion has occurred within the National Consultative Front, NCF.

One of its pillars and founding fathers, and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Na’Abba, has quit the party.

Na’abba, a recipient of the National Honour of  Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic, CFR, tendered his letter of resignation to NCF’s National Secretary, Veteran Olawale Okunniyi, citing “irreconcilable differences between me and my vision and your own.”

Specifically, the former Speaker accused the party’s national scribe of issuing press releases without recourse to him.

“The way and manner press releases are being made by you and mostly without consulting me is too much for me to bear,” he said. “I believe time has come for me to leave.”

RESIGNATION FROM NATIONAL CONSULTATIVE FRONT AND ALL ITS ORGANS

I wish to humbly submit my resignation letter from the National Consultative Front and all its organs because of irreconcilable differences between me and my vision and your own. The way and manner press releases are being made by you and mostly without consulting me is too much for me to bear. I believe time has come for me to leave.

I wish you all the best in your future endeavors while calling on you to remove my name from any communication the National Consultative Front is releasing effective today 5th July 2021.

This comes with the assurances of my highest consideration and deep respect.
