Emir of Katsina, Abdulmuminu Kabir Usman, has cried out to Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, about worsening security in Katsina State, saying he has received more than 100 calls over planned terrorists attack in a short period of time.
The emir told Osinbajo on Sunday that he and governor of Katsina, Aminu Masari, were having sleepless nights as a result of banditry attacks in the state.
Usman spoke when Osinbajo paid him a condolence visit over the death of Murja Manga, mother of Katsina business mogul, Dahiru Mangal.
He said, “I have just come back from Kaduna only to be surprised by receiving over 100 telephone calls on planned terrorists attacks which is the order of the day.
“I and the state governor don’t have any time to sleep but I am highly grateful that these criminals have been classified as terrorists.”
Osinbajo while reacting said that the Federal Government will try its best to tackle the situation.
He said: “The President has decided to meet with all the top security experts in order to ensure that there is adequate security all over the country.
“So we expect to see significant changes and by the grace of God peace will return quickly to all villages and communities not only in Katsina State But also across the country.”
