A firm of chartered accountants that audited the financial transactions of the Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, Moshood Ganiyu and Co has cleared the Bursar of the college, Dr Olarewaju Oyedeji of financial misappropriation.
The auditing firm which was chosen out of the three presented by the office of the Auditor General gave the college and its Bursar a clean bill.
The audit report of the firm made available to our correspondent shows that the college has a clean bill and the Bursar was also commended for his diligent efforts at sanitizing the college from financial encumbrance.
It was gathered that the audit report cleared all the bursary staff and there was no financial misappropriation traced to any of the staff in the bursary department.
It was reliably gathered that the audit report of the college was balanced and favourable to the college as the auditing firm among others hailed the transparent and accountable stand of the college Bursar.
The college was said to be free of any financial encumbrance as it was not indebted to any financial institution, a situation which was said to be rare.
Meanwhile, the Provost of the institution, Prof Jimoh Afolabi has called on the State House of Assembly to expedite actions on its report on the college.
He said the House Committee on Public Accounts had in January met with the management of the college and the Auditor General with a view to investigating the financial transactions of the college.
The Provost therefore called on the House, especially its committee on Public Accounts to make open its report on the college in no distant time.
