Kizz Daniel Arrested in Tanzania for Refusing to Perform Buga

Reports filtering in has it that rising entertainment star and postal boy of Fly Boy Inc music label , Kizz Daniel has run into trouble in far away Tanzania for refusing to perform his signature hit, Buga, at a show.

The Buga exponent was reportedly detained by police in Dar es Salaam, the capital, for his failure to show up for performance on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at the Summer Amplified concert at Warehouse arena.

A viral video, which The Crest has not been able to independently verify, shows the Nigerian music star and two others being shoved into a pick-up van by security agents at the Johari Rotana Hotel in the City Centre.

The two other people are believed to be members of his management team.

Reports also show another video in which the singer and his team were reportedly arriving at the Oysterbay Police Station under tight security.

Several voices in the background of the video kept calling out to the singer as they repeatedly said: “I warned you, you have caused a very big damage to our country!” Another voice yelled: “Apologize
to these people; they gonna kill you, Kizz Daniel.”

Kizz Daniel’s arrest came after the chaos that engulfed the warehouse club early Monday where fan, who had waited for the singer to perform from 10p.m. until sunrise, went on rampage, causing damages that are yet to be specified.

There is no word yet from his managers as the story continues to develop.

Born Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, the star attended the Abeokuta Grammar School and graduated from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in 2013.

Though armed with a degree in Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology (Water Engineering), he chose music ahead of his course of studies and has had a highly successful run so far.
