Dikko Appears Before Presidential Panel, Begs to Attend CAF Duty
The chairman of the League Management Company (LMC) and NFF 2nd vice-president Shehu Dikko today appeared before the Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property.
He later signed an undertaken to return after he has attended a CAF assignment this week.
Earlier today, Shehu Dikko claimed ignorance of an invitation to appear before the Presidential Panel.
He told Greetings FM Abuja: “I don’t know about that.”
It was further gathered that the officials invited by the Presidential Panel have squarely fingered sports minister Solomon Dalung for their latest travails and “some friends of Aminu Maigari”.
The seven NFF officials were invited to appear before the panel Tuesday morning, but they did not show up.
It was later gathered that a letter from the NFF secretariat requested for a fresh appointment because the affected officials were not available.
The panel is investigating a case of conspiracy and alleged diversion of public funds at the NFF.
