Former governors of Osun, Zamfara and Plateau states, Gboyega Oyetola, Bello Metawalle and Simon Lalong and sixteen others are among the 19 new ministerial nominees sent to the Senate by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday.
Five of the new ministerial nominees are former governors
Senate President Godswill Akpabio read the Presidential communication at plenary on Wednesday, August 2.
Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, brought in the communication from the President during plenary while a ministerial nominee, Lateef Fagbemi, was being screened.
The President had on Thursday, July 27, 2023 nominated 28 ministers who have been screened by the Red Chamber.
