Olori Solape Abolarin for Burial Today

The earthly remains of Olori Solape, the departed wife of Oba Adedokun Abolarin, the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Osun State, will be laid to rest at the fast-growing agrarian town today, June 17, 2025.
Olori Solape passed on last Monday, June 9, 2025, at an Ibadan hospital following complications from a fibroid surgery. She was aged 51.
A major pillar of Oba Abolarin’s monarchy, Olori Solape was a respected public servant and businesswoman. She was renowned and widely admired for her poise, unflinching dedication to community development, and her unwavering support of her husband’s philanthropic and traditional leadership.
The Igbeti, Oyo State-born Queen was a strong pillar behind her husband who runs a tuition-free, world-class school, Oba Abolarin College, Oke-Ila, for less privileged children drawn from across the country.
She provided motherly care and comfort, as well as loving home for the students, most of whom come from poor families, and were picked from the streets.
The great work that Oba Abolarin and his departed Olori have done through the unique free-educational college, has put Oke-Ila on the map, virtually turning the purely agrarian community to a tourism destination.
The Crest prays for God’s comfort for Oba Abolarin and his royal family at this very distressing time.
