COVID-19: Six Patients Discharged in Lagos
Six more COVID-19 patients were on Monday discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, says Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of the state,
The patients, five males and one female, were discharged after testing negative for coronavirus twice.
With the announcement, a total of 61 persons have been discharged in the state, which has so far recorded 179 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Speaking on the development, the governor expressed optimism that the state will “triumph” in its fight to limit the spread of coronavirus.
“Good people of Lagos, today, 6 more persons; 1 female and 5 males have been discharged from our Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, after their full recovery and testing negative twice consecutively to COVID-19,” he said.
“This good news brings the number of patients who have been successfully managed and discharged from our facilities to 61.
“For us, this is significant and indicative of our will power to triumph in the war against COVID19. We won’t be deterred and we will not relent until victory is achieved.
“I thank you all for your continued perseverance and patience especially at this critical time. This sacrifice of ours, I am most certain will not be in vain.”
A total of 323 cases have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in 19 states across the country
