The Registrar of the National Examination Council, Professor Godswill Obioma has been assassinated, the Crest can confirm.
Unknown gunmen stormed the house of the don in Minna, Niger and strangled him to death in the presence of his wife.
The wife, Elizabeth who spoke to Peoples Gazette, said ” the assassins came in and killed him and left without taking anything.”
Obioma, 67, was appointed the head of NECO a year ago, on May 14, 2020. He hailed from Abia state in Nigeria’s South-East region.
This is coming after a former presidential aide Ahmed Gulak was killed in Owerri.
