A 40-year-old man identified as Felix, reportedly from Cross River State, has been found dead in a guest house along Azikoro Road, Ekeki area of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, July 8, 2026, after a cleaner reportedly raised an alarm upon discovering Felix’s body inside a room at the facility.
According to eyewitness accounts, the deceased was found unclothed, while the woman who was allegedly with him was nowhere to be found.
Several sachets of alcoholic drinks were reportedly recovered from the room before police officers arrived, secured the area, and evacuated the body for further investigation.
The news of Felix’s death attracted sympathisers to the Seriake Dickson Shopping Complex, where he worked as a mobile phone repairer. Colleagues and acquaintances expressed shock over the incident.
Reports indicate that three people were taken into custody in connection with the case, including the owner of the guest house and the cleaner.
Felix’s brother, Dennis, was also briefly detained after he was found with the deceased’s mobile phone. He was later released after explaining that the phone had been given to him by a charging operator who had received it while efforts were being made to locate Felix.
