Dr. Obisesan Daramola, Immediate Past President of Ilesa Grammar School Old Students Association, is Dead

Ilesa Grammar School, indeed, Ijesaland, has been thrown into mourning as Engineer Dr. Obisesan Daramola, the immediate past president of Ilesa Grammar School Old Students Association, ILEGSOSA, has died.

Dr. Wale Bolorunduro, the current president of ILEGSOSA, broke the sad news via a press statement on Saturday, revealing that the renowned engineer and elder statesman died on Friday, August 7, 2026. A

part from his enormous contributions to Nigeria’s development and that of his homestead, Ijesaland, the late Dr. Daramola was a two-term President of the Ilesa Grammar School Old Students Association, having served between 2020 and 2025, a period signposted by several landmark achievements.

Bolorunduro’s statement reads:

With total submission to the Will of God, we announce the sudden passing of the immediate past National President of Ilesa Grammar School Old Students Association (ILEGSOSA), Engr. Dr. Obi Daramola, which sad event occurred yesterday Friday August 7, 2026.

May the Almighty God grant his gentle soul eternal rest, and give the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
