Gen. Rabe Abubakar’s Murder: FG Mustn’t Allow Terrorists Turn Nigeria to Land of Fear-Babarinsa
Do not allow evil criminals turn this country to a land of fear!
That was the passionate plea that the chairman of Gaskia Media Limited, Chief Dare Babarinsa, sent to the federal government on Sunday following the heart-rending news that former Army Spokesman, Major General Rabe Abubakar, had been murdered by the dare-devil criminals who abducted him and his wife last month in Katsina state.
Babarinsa, co-founder of TELL magazine and a recipient of the national honour of CON, made the plea on his Facebook page saying if the General could be cruelly treated this way, then, there was genuine reason for people to be afraid. Very afraid.

“The Federal Government should take keen interest in the macabre drama unfolding in Katsina State,” the top journalist declared. “It is a National tragedy and a national disgrace. We must not allow criminals to turn our country into the Land of Fear.”
Here is Babarinsa’s post, verbatim:
BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID!!
General Abubakar Rabe, who retired from the Nigerian Army after almost three decades in the service of our beloved nation, was captured and murdered by criminals. He was not killed in battle, but by evil cowards. They mercifully released his corpse and freed his grieving widow, who was in captivity with him. Yet these criminals are still walking on this land as invisible spectre.
We need to know that all these are happening in a land where we have:
1. Driver licence
2. Voters card
3. BVN
4. National ID cards
What is the purpose of all these if criminals are still so free to operate. The Federal Government should take keen interest in the macabre drama unfolding in Katsina State. It is a National tragedy and a national disgrace. We must not allow criminals to turn our country into the Land of Fear.
