Popular Nigerian content creator and comedian Carter Efe has reportedly lost access to his official TikTok account after the platform banned the profile over alleged violations of its community guidelines.
The account was reportedly permanently removed on Wednesday, September 8, following repeated infractions of TikTok’s policies.
Carter Efe’s account had amassed about 5.6 million followers before the ban, making it one of his major platforms for sharing comedy skits, music promotions and live broadcasts.
The development effectively cuts off the comedian from his large audience on the platform and could have a significant impact on his digital content distribution.
Details of the specific violations that led to the ban were not disclosed in the report, while Carter Efe had yet to publicly comment on the development.
