Yinka Fasuyi has devoted and committed heart for God’s work and humanity-Prof Abiodun Ilesanmi

The Deputy Chairman/ Pro-Chancellor, Governing Council of the Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, Prof. Abiodun Ilesanmi, has described the President/Founder of Ibadan Business School, Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, as a great man with exemplary qualities who has devoted and committed heart for God’s work and humanity.

He said this in a tribute to the Asiwaju of Ijesaland on the occasion of his fast-approaching 70th birthday.

He praised Fasuyi for his open and inclusive leadership of the various groups and societies that he heads, maintaining that: “This has resulted in an unprecedented growth and massive transformation of Ijesaland with improvements in quality, variety and volume of many projects undertaken by Ijesa indigenes.”

I consider it a privilege and honor to forward this tribute to my friend and brother of many decades, Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, the Asiwaju of Ijesaland.

Yinka is 70 today! Psalm 118:23-24 says “This is the Lord’s doing, it is marvelous in our eyes”. This is more so in a country where life expectancy is about 56 years. We thank God Almighty and we rejoice with you and your family. Turning 70 is a milestone not granted to everyone except those favoured by God.

Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi leadership has been open and inclusive. This has resulted in an unprecedented growth and massive transformation of Ijesaland with improvements in quality, variety and volume of many projects undertaken by Ijesa indigenes.

Yinka has a devoted and committed heart for God’s work and humanity. He spends his time, mind, money and energy in these assignments. A great man with exemplary qualities. The words of Psalm 103:17 aptly applies to our distinguished Asiwaju. The roles Asiwaju plays in our community development keeps impacting lives and the futures of the next generation of Ijesas. These are the hallmark of your selflessness, giving spirit and testament of your true, outstanding and unique patriotism and love for mankind.

Simply put, Yinka is a man of inestimable value. We also praise the Lord for blessing you with a biblical help meet, your darling wife, Yeye Asiwaju Olubisi Fasuyi, and your wonderful children.

For our generation and the future generation, you are an indefatigable leader, knowledgeable, fashionable, charismatic, very practical and an icon. Your astonishing feats and results are truly remarkable.

To many of us your friends, your sense of humour often brings calmness to tense situations.

Asiwaju Fasuyi is generous, he gives freely, advises justly, assists the needy readily, takes all patiently, defends courageously and remains a friend at all times irrespective of one’s socio-economic status.

To the elderly, Asiwaju dines and wines with them with utmost respect always appreciating their guidance, experience and wisdom on emerging issues.

My friend and brother, I wish you many more years of fruitful and future birthday celebrations in the 80s, 90s and 100 +. Wishing you in continued God’s Grace and His abundant blessings in Jesus Christ name. Amen.
