President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, at the Aso Rock Villa, met his nominee for the post of Chairman of the Police Service Commission, PSC, Alhaji Musiliu Smith, a retired Inspector General of Police, IGP.
The President had, on Thursday, sent a letter to the Senate, announcing Smith’s nomination.
The meeting was held behind closed doors.
If he scales Senate screening, Smith will replace Mike Okiro, another retired IGP, and outgoing chairman of the Police Service Commission, whose five-year tenure has lapsed.
