Football sensational striker, Mohammed Salah, is faced with the sledge hammer of the Federation of International Football Association, FIFA.. The Egyptian star could be in hot water if he fails to give convincing reasons on why he chose to call the bluff of the global football governing body.
The global football ruling body is “clarifying” the reason behind Salah’s absence from his post-match press conference on Monday after Egypt lost the last match 1-2 to Saudi Arabia.
Salah, who received the Man-of-the-Match award, should have been present at the press conference following the game between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, but skipped the event reportedly citing health problems.
FIFA representatives who were informed of Salah’s absence said they will clarify the issue acting in accordance with body’s rules, as TASS reported on Tuesday.
The World Cup regulations require all coaches and Man-of-the-Match award winners to attend press conferences after matches.
FIFA has recently sanctioned three Swiss players for indecent goal celebration while Argentina was hammered with fines for violent behaviour of their fans.
