We serve you the official result of the Ekiti State governorship election held on July 14. It is as released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
The result shows All Progressives Congress, APC candidate, Kayode Fayemi leading in 12 of the 16 local government areas in the state, while his rival Kolapo Olusola of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP trails behind by leading in four local government areas.
There is jubilation in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
Perhaps due to the closure of the State Broadcasting Service by the National Broadcasting Commission, the PDP and Governor Ayodele Fayose have been quiet.
