Bolaji Abdullahi Denies News of Defection
Abdullahi: I have not left APC
Bolaji Abdullahi, national publicity secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has denied the story making the rounds that he had left the party. Abdullahi, a known associate of Bukola Saraki, Senate president, said his absence from the executive meeting of the party in Abuja might have created the notion that he had dumped the party.
He said at the party secretariat on Tuesday that he duly informed his colleagues on the executive arm of the party that he was not going to be present at the meeting because he was out of Abuja.
He said he came into the party through the front door and that when the time comes for him to leave he would leave through the front door.
It would be recalled that Abdullahi who first served in the cabinet of Saraki, when the latter was governor in Kwara State, before becoming minister did not immediately leave the People’s Democratic Party, PDP with his boss when the Senate president decamped from the party then to collaborate with others to form APC.
Some of his friends have been congratulating him on tweeter for the alleged change of party platform. Some of them PDP members have also been welcoming him Back ‘home’. By his denial, Abdullahi seems to have said ‘no welcome party yet’.
