It has been a tough year for the singer but the year surely is ending on a high note for him. In particular, the musician will not forget in a hurry the death of friend, Tagbo, for which he was invited by the Lagos State Police Command. Neither would his numerous forget the bitter memories.
Their idol was drilled for hours by investigators at the Command. At a point, he broke down in tears when the questioning became nightmarish for him. That was early in the year.
Fresh from that sad incident, he had a face-off abroad with his arch-rival but now very close pal, Wizkid. Band Boys of both singers engaged themselves in a free for all fight during a show tagged One Africa Concert in Dubai. However, both stars were reconciled and they became friends afterwards.
Davido would then move from that to reveal to the world the love of his life, Chioma, whom he has showered with all manners of gifts including exotic car, posh apartment, jewellery as well as trips to choice destinations across the world, among others.
In between all these, the Ede, Osun State-born super star had time to attend to his studies. He graduated in music, a few years ago, from Babcock University, Ilishan, Ogun State.
Music buffs believe Davido deserves kudos for completing his education despite living in the super highway of the entertainment world. They enthuse that few in Davido’s shoes would broach the idea of tertiary education.
