Regardless of the stiff opposition mounted against his second term by his godfather, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode, Wednesday afternoon, submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms at the state APC headquarters on Acme Road, off Agidingbi, Ikeja.
Premium Times, an online newspaper, reported that a mutual ally of the governor and Tinubu submitted the forms on his behalf.
Ambode’s support base unravelled after he had been apparently dumped by Tinubu who is now a major sponsor of Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, the incumbent Managing Director of Lagos State Property Development Corporation, LSDPC.
The Mandate Group, a major political structure within the APC, endorsed Sanwoolu and is presenting the LSDPC boss.
