Osun: What Primate Ayodele Said

BY ABIODUN NEJO

The victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State Governorship Election, through a supplementary election on Thursday, seems to have validated the prediction by the founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele.

On the manner of victory, Prophet Ayodele had predicted that APC would win the election on technical grounds as well as exploitation of loopholes in the nation’s electoral laws.

The cleric had when speaking at his Ikere Ekiti home, last week, on his prophecies for 2018/2019, reiterated that a well-coordinated coalition of opposition parties would have dethroned the APC in Osun State but that reliance on a “technical point” would give victory to the ruling party.

Recall that the Saturday governorship election, which result was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Sunday morning, went into a second ballot Thursday following the cancelled votes which exceeded the margin between the scores of the two leading parties – PDP (254,698 votes) and APC (254,345 votes).

APC consequently won the second ballot scoring 1,160 votes as against PDP’s 325 votes, when added to the result of the main election on Saturday, APC had a total of 255, 505 votes against PDP’s 255,023. APC was subsequently declared winner by the state Returning Officer, Prof Adeola Joseph Fuwape.

In his annual book of prophecies, entitled: “Warning to the Nations”, 2018/2019 Edition, launched some months ago in Lagos, Primate Ayodele had said: “In Osun State, some natural resources that will boost the economy of the state will be discovered and harnessed. The state needs prayers against debts. I foresee that the people will kick against the present government of the state.

“The coming election will be tough. I forsee that the APC, PDP and ADP will be the prominent political parties. The APC and PDP should be focused because either of the party will be enthroned. There will be series of political gang ups in the state. The APC needs to win on technical ground so as to retain the the governorship seat otherwise ADP or PDP will take over.”

In he same publication, the cleric had also predicted the political travails of Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, advising him to seek the face of God.

His words: “Lagos State needs prayers for divine intervention. The governor will face some political challenges. The governor will face political conspiracy. Let us pray against explosion and flood in Lagos”.

Ayodele, who also spoke about the 2019 general elections, urged Nigerians to brace up for more challenges as the present government would not tolerate criticism.

He hinted that some forces behind the Federal Government would take concrete measures to ensure they held on to power beyond 2019, Nigerians’ decision notwithstanding.

The cleric said: “Nigerians need to seriously seek the face of God ahead of the 2019 general elections. There are forces in the present government who would do anything to ensure the current Federal Government does not lose power”.
